Lunar New Year celebration
    2020-01-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

DINING is an integral part of the Lunar New Year celebration, and Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is offering something to delight every palate with special auspicious set dinner menus for a splendid dining experience.

The hotel’s Cantonese restaurant, China Lodge, is offering three dinner menus, featuring a refined selection of traditional favorites such as traditional roasted suckling pig, fish maw soup, wok-baked Australian lobster and South African abalone with other premium Chinese delicacies. These menus will be available from Jan. 17 to Feb. 8.

The 1881 restaurant, which features northern Chinese and Sichuan delicacies, offers a unique “dining in the kitchen” atmosphere. The restaurant is presenting two unique New Year menus: the “Happiness” menu and the “Prosperity” menu, which include wood-fired Peking duck, braised dried abalone, wood-fired Australian Wagyu beef sirloin and handmade dumplings, sure to satisfy big families looking to get into the festive spirit.

Poon choi is an auspicious dish symbolizing family reunions and prosperity and has long been considered part of the dining culture during the Lunar New Year. Abalone, fish maw and sea cucumber in a selection of Poon Choi for six, eight or 10 persons will be available until Feb. 1.

Additionally, The Mansion is the perfect private venue for reunion dinner bookings of two tables or more Jan. 24, featuring Chinese-themed decorations, Lunar New Year snack boxes and free-flowing soft drinks.(Maggie Tang)
