IHG has announced the official opening of InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City. Located at Chaotianmen Square in downtown Chongqing, the new hotel is part of the iconic Raffles City complex – a new modern landmark in Southwest China. Auspiciously located at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, the state-of-the-art high-rise hotel is close to famed local attractions such as Jiefangbei and Hongyadong.

Raffles City Chongqing with its eight skyscrapers is designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie and his team, who drew inspiration from the region’s unique terrain and culture to create an image of powerful sails. This one-of-a-kind InterContinental hotel boasts 380 luxury rooms and suites from the 44th to the 65th floor that offer panoramic views and floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel occupies the top floors of one of the tallest towers, as well as part of The Crystal, an iconic skybridge 300 meters in length, that connects the top of four skyscrapers at the height of the 42nd floor. The Jing Dining Room & Bar is the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant and bar and features lavish seafood dishes, classic dim sum, and unmissable local Sichuan cuisines.
