LITCHI is the fruit that best embodies relief for humid, scorching summers in South China. It doesn’t take much effort to peel off its rosy shell and grab a bite of its juicy pulp. The considerate pastry chefs with the hotel imaginatively combine the authentic taste, texture and aroma of freshly picked litchis with delicate tea cakes and special fruit mocktails.

The high tea set presents sweetish and savory tea cakes on a three-tiered cake stand with scones in plain, rose and strawberry flavors served with Mascarpone cheese, litchi red berries jelly and strawberry jam.

The tea cakes are arranged in a transitional order according to their colors and taste. After posing in your best posture with your friends while holding the instagrammable litchi-shaped rose mousse or the heart-shaped baby pink chocolate cake, you can then move on to the lower tiers of the cake stand to neutralize your taste buds with chicken salad, shrimp pancakes, crab bagel and a mango sandwich — all of course seasoned with litchis.
