THE Sands Resorts Macao has become the first Macao hospitality group to receive certification for its five properties from the global certification organization Bureau Veritas, exceeding all relevant local anti-epidemic regulations and requirements. Bureau Veritas, working with the Cleveland Clinic as medical advisors, reviewed and evaluated Sands’ safety and hygiene precautions under the Sands SafeStay program as well as auditing its five properties — The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Plaza Macao; Sands Cotai Central including the Conrad Macao Cotai Strip, and the Sands Macao. All were certified under Bureau Veritas’ stringent Safe Guard Hygiene Excellence and Safety Label protocol. The initiative was part of an agreement with Las Vegas Sands, with Bureau Veritas conducting full audits of Sands properties worldwide, inspecting everything from hotel rooms to laundry processing, storage, delivery routes for in-room dining, kitchens and more. The Sands SafeStay program was launched earlier this year. Focused on ensuring guest and staff safety and peace of mind, it incorporates hundreds of elements and a range of precautions, targeting three key areas – sanitization, prevention and contactless services. Designed to support the operational restart activities of the hospitality and restaurant industries, the Safe Guard Hygiene Excellence and Safety Label is a suite of services offered through Bureau Veritas’ “Restart Your Business With BV” program, to ensure businesses restart operations safely. It also offers an extra layer of assurance to their guests, employees and suppliers.(SD News) |
