ON Tuesday afternoon, some 500 piano teachers, students, their families and hotel clients gathered at the Grand Ballroom of the Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen to celebrate the ninth anniversary of Lang Lang Music World. Lang also gave a master class to several students of his school at the occasion.

After each individual performance, Lang asked the student to come up to the stage to give detailed reviews and demonstrations. Children in the audience broke out in hearty laughter from time to time as the world-renowned pianist used vivid language, exaggerated tones, hand gestures and body movements to get his points across.

Some were lucky enough to win a CD signed by Lang, a voucher for the hotel’s Executive Salon Suite, and the special prize of a Steinway piano at a lucky draw.

Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen has always been committed to creating new traditions as well as continuing to support art education and provide a stage for artists and art students.
