Putin to self-isolate

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin said yesterday that he will observe self-isolation for a certain period of time in connection with the COVID-19 cases detected in his entourage.

Putin voiced his decision during a phone conversation with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, the Kremlin said in a press release.

13 killed in clashes

AT least nine soldiers and four separatist fighters were killed in weekend clashes in Cameroon’s Anglophone region of Northwest that has been ravaged by a four-year armed separatist conflict, security and local sources told Xinhua on Monday.

US blame unreasonable

THE United States has nothing solid in its hands to tarnish China in its politicized and intelligence community-led report on origins tracing of COVID-19, said a Pakistani newspaper.

The English daily Lead Pakistan published an article Sunday saying the U.S. blame game is only to cover up its failure in pandemic control.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, some U.S. politicians have spent huge time on political manipulation and blame game, rather than pandemic control and saving lives, it said.
