INTERCONTINENTAL Hotel Shenzhen celebrated its 15th anniversary and held a Christmas tree lighting ceremony last Friday with guests including business partners, loyalty members and media partners together with the hotel’s top management team. The celebration took place in Galleon Fiesta, the boat-shaped iconic venue shining just along the Shennan Boulevard.

Intercontinental Hotel Shenzhen, as Shenzhen’s first and only international luxury branded hotel featuring Spanish culture, has been shining in Shenzhen for 15 years with the Glamour of InterContinental. The theme of this anniversary celebration is “Sailing Towards the Galaxy,” reflecting the glorious past as well as moving towards a sparkling and hopeful future.

The grand “voyage” of the celebration night officially started with the opening speech from “Captain” Michael Martin, IHG area general manager in the Shenzhen, Dongguan and Macao area and InterContinental Shenzhen general manager.

“In the past 15 years, the brand and hotel team kept delivering ‘True Hospitality’ service and gained a solid reputation among guests and the industry,” said Martin. “Each individual prize, business support and compliment that we have gained forms up a shining galaxy which will be lighting up a bright future ahead of us.”

He also stated that the hotel is preparing plans to continue its success and truly deliver the Glamour of InterContinental.

An opening Columbian dance from Windows of the World in the middle stage lit up the atmosphere right away, followed by a staff mash-up performance showcasing the long-lasting spirit of InterContinental Shenzhen’s service and culture. The grand night was filled with wonderful entertainment, delicacies and drinks, several rounds of lucky draws and lots of joy.

As Christmas season also falls in December, accompanied by the Nanshan International School students’ festive Christmas choir, the hotel’s top management team lit up a unique nutcracker-style Christmas tree in the hotel using video high-tech methods and kicked off the Christmas season to celebrate both events, making the evening much more exciting.

With the message of “Christmas is coming” officially delivered to all, InterContinental Shenzhen is going to offer luxurious Christmas food with music performances and lucky draws in its Mercado and Pipette Bistro restaurants from Dec. 24 to 25.(SD News)
