‘DPP authorities to push Taiwan into disaster’
    2022-08-04  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE attempts by Taiwan leader Tsai Ing-wen and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities to collude with foreign forces will push Taiwan into the abyss of disaster, said a mainland spokesperson yesterday.

Tsai and the DPP authorities have entrenched themselves in the separatist stance of “Taiwan independence,” refused to recognize the 1992 Consensus, openly promoted the “two states” advocation and recklessly attacked the policy of “one country, two systems,” said Ma Xiaoguang, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office.

“We solemnly warned Tsai and the DPP authorities that the attempts to collude with external forces to seek ‘Taiwan independence’ for the sake of the interests of one person and one party will only accelerate their self-destruction and push Taiwan into the abyss of disaster,” the spokesperson said.

The office also announced punishments on organizations related to die-hard elements seeking “Taiwan independence.”

“Taiwan Foundation for Democracy” and “International Cooperation and Development Fund” have carried out “Taiwan independence” separatist activities in the international arena, said Ma.

The mainland has decided to take punitive measures against the foundations, banning them from cooperating with mainland organizations, enterprises or individuals.

The mainland will prohibit mainland organizations, enterprises or individuals from any transaction or cooperation with Speedtech Energy, Hyweb Technology, Skyla, SkyEyes GPS Technology and other enterprises that have donated money to the foundations.

Meanwhile, the export of natural sand to the Taiwan region will be suspended starting yesterday, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said.

The mainland will suspend the entry of citrus fruits and two types of fish products from the Taiwan region starting yesterday, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) said.(Xinhua)
