HK to build innovation talent port for GBA
    2023-09-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

HONG KONG will continue to actively collaborate with Shenzhen to promote the advantages of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone under the principle of “one zone, two parks” underpinned by the “one country, two systems” principle.

John Lee, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), made the remarks Monday at a financial forum held by Sing Tao News Corporation Limited.

Hong Kong will support the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) international innovation and technology center, and build an international innovation talent port for the GBA, Lee said.

He said that the HKSAR Government is making every effort to promote Hong Kong’s integration into the overall national development and to contribute to the construction of the GBA in the fields of finance, commerce, shipping and professional services.

The forum gathered people from all walks of life in Hong Kong to discuss the opportunities for coordinated economic development of the GBA.

More than 280 people attended the forum. (Xinhua)
