Wang Jingli wangjingli0715@163.com BIJIA Mountain Sports Park, a sports-themed park in Shenzhen’s Futian District, officially opened Saturday, offering citizens a new place to enjoy sports and leisure activities. Located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Huanggang Road and Sungang Road West, Bijia Mountain Sports Park covers an area of about 260,000 square meters, and is composed of northern and southern areas. The southern area has opened starting July 1. The northern area is now available, offering sports venues such as seven soccer pitches, four basketball courts, six badminton courts, three shuttlecock courts, nine table tennis courts, and a 1.6-kilometer-long ring running track. Interested citizens can book the sports venues through the WeChat miniprogram “深i公园.” The park also features about 170,000 square meters of green leisure space. Bijia Mountain Sports Park is a key city project designed for ecological enhancement by linking five major parks in the city center, specifically Lianhua Hill Park, Bijia Mountain Park, Central Park, Meilin Mountain Park, and Yinhu Mountain Park, and repairing ecological breakpoints. In addition, the park’s planned children’s amusement facilities, tourist service center, as well as a model car venue will be completed and put into use before Dec. 25. The closest Metro station to the park is Line 10’s Donggualing Station (Exit E). |
