A HEARING on the toll charges for the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, to be held in January in Guangzhou, is now inviting participants to give their suggestions.

Interested applicants can check the requirements at the official website of the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission and send their application materials to fgw_jgc@gd.gov.cn or call 020-83134175 to inquire.

The hearing will invite 26 participants, including 15 consumers, one operator, one representative from parties of interest, two experts, four representatives from government agencies, one provincial lawmaker, one provincial political adviser, and one NGO representative.

The hearing will also invite five observers.

The 15 consumers will be selected through random draws under the supervision of media agencies. The other representatives are recommended by related organizations or invited by the commission.

The application submission deadline is by 5:30 p.m. Dec. 27.

The whole line of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link was completed at the end of last month.

The 24-kilometer-long mega project connecting the two cities across the Pearl River is scheduled to open in June next year.

It connects Guangdong’s three pilot free trade zones of Qianhai in Shenzhen, Nansha in Guangzhou, and Hengqin in Zhuhai upon operation, and is expected to play an important role in expanding cooperation and exchanges among cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
