Chang Zhipeng 57589527@qq.com UNISSOFT Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. recently secured a loan of 1 million yuan (US$141,508) from a local branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), following successful data intellectual property right (IPR) pledge registration in the Shenzhen Data Intellectual Property Registration System. This milestone, achieved under the guidance of the Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervision and Regulation Bureau (MSRB), marks the first instance in Shenzhen where a Hong Kong-funded enterprise has obtained financing by pledging its data IPR. A representative from the company stated that this initiative not only offers a replicable and valuable solution for other HK companies but also introduces new concepts for the cross-border application of data. Unissoft Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based CU Coding, which specializes in data security transmission and storage services. The company has also amassed extensive experience in data resource inventory, data value mining, and data capitalization. Since the beginning of this year, Shenzhen’ s MSRB has conducted several data IPR consultation sessions for firms in the Shenzhen Park of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone and the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone. These sessions aim to guide Hong Kong-funded enterprises in registering and applying their data IPR, as a means of expanding their financing channels in Shenzhen. |
