The first phase of the middle route of China’s South-to-North Water Diversion Project was officially put through Thursday. As an important water source for the project, the Danjiangkou Reservoir has seen a continuous improvement in its water quality thanks to the environmental protection efforts in the surrounding areas in the past decade.
