Guards of white dolphins
    2025-01-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Members of the Beibu Gulf Dolphin Research Team are on an expedition in the waters off the coast of Guangxi to keep records of Chinese white dolphins Jan. 6.

Chinese white dolphins are gray in infancy and turn white or light pink as adults. They are a first-level protected wild animal in China and were listed in the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species in 2008. The team, headed by two local researchers, has been following white dolphins in the Beibu Gulf for 13 years.
