On the first day of the spring semester, students from Wende Road Primary School in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, participated in a traditional ancient Chinese game resembling bowling, known as “Mushe.” Originating from the Tang Dynasty (618-907), this game involves players attempting to knock down 15 wooden pillars using wooden balls from a specified distance. Across Guangdong, all primary and middle school students returned to their campuses for the new semester Thursday.
