THE number of tourism businesses in Qingdao has reached 715, among the most seen in any of the country’s cities.

The figure is considered a symbol of the development of the city’s tourism industry. Among the 715 companies, there are 160 starred hotels with a total of 36,600 beds. Six are five-star hotels and 30 are four-star.

There are also 52 A-level State tourist resorts, the largest number of its kind in Shandong Province. Among them, 11 are 4A level and 26 are 3A level.

Qingdao is also home to 40 starred restaurants, five resorts, 334 travel agencies, seven golf clubs and one yacht club. (Jane Lai)
