Hong Kong singer-actress Charlene Choi shocked everyone earlier this year when her four-year secret marriage to Ronald Cheng was revealed. Shortly afterward, the pair announced their divorce. Now Choi has sprung the news that she is dating singer William Chan.

"We have been together for a few months and we began dating when we were both single," said Choi at Hong Kong airport on Monday, appearing together with Chan.

"It just started. I wanted to wait until the relationship became stable* before announcing it. I won't try to keep it under wraps*," Chan said.

"Now I am not afraid to admit it. We are deeply in love and I really want to protect this relationship," he added.

Chan, 25, said he did not mind that Choi, 27, had previously been married to singer-actor Cheng.

"When you love someone, you accept her past," Chan said.

The pair met on the set of "Beauty on Duty" last year, when Choi was still Mrs. Cheng and Chan was dating model Angelababy.

Choi's ex-husband Cheng is rumored to have moved on from the divorce and has been connected to news anchorwoman* Sammie Yu. Angelababy, on the other hand, has been romantically linked to mainland heartthrob* Huang Xiaoming.
