AMD to step up technology cooperation
     2010-October-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

INGDAO Party chief, Yan Qijun, met Bruce Claflin, president of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), at Shangri-La Hotel on Oct. 14. AMD has pledged to step up cooperation with information technology enterprises in Qingdao.

Yan spoke highly of AMD’s decision to undertake deep cooperation with Qingdao, saying it reflected the attention the enterprise had shown in the Chinese market and its determination to help drive the information industry in China.

The Qingdao government would provide the necessary policy support for AMD’s development in the city, Yan said.

He hoped AMD would accelerate development in Qingdao to quickly achieve a win-win goal.

Claflin said Qingdao had a solid foundation in integrated circuit design and many competent enterprises in information technology.

AMD would increase input in Qingdao in capital, technology, research and development, as well as professional training, Claflin said.

AMD would strengthen cooperation with leading enterprises in Qingdao to develop software and hardware to meet market demands and explore new market.
