Hollywood stars graced the Greek Theater stage at Spike TV’s annual Scream Awards on Saturday night — a tribute to horror, sci-fi, comics and fantasy.
Sigourney Weaver emerged from a giant brain-shaped pod* to accept “Heroine” honors from James Cameron. Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd got a standing ovation* as they reunited with a DeLorean car to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Back to the Future.”
Aguilera, husband split up
U.S. singer Christina Aguilera said last Tuesday that she and her music executive husband, Jordan Bratman, had separated after nearly five years of marriage.
Aguilera and Bratman married in November 2005 and have one son, Max, age 2.
Liu Ye becomes a father
Chinese actor Liu Ye’s French wife Anais Martane gave birth to their first child, a baby boy, on Sunday in France.
Liu and Martane started dating in 2006 after Liu ended his five-year relationship with actress Xie Na. They married last year in Beijing.
‘Hawthorn Tree’ in Hawaii
Chinese director Zhang Yimou’s new movie “Under the Hawthorn Tree” was chosen as the opening film of the 30th Hawaii International Film Festival in Honolulu, capital of Hawaii, the United States, on Thursday. It was also the film’s premiere in North America. Zhang and the cast members of the movie, including hero Dou Xiao and heroine Zhou Dongyu, appeared at the premiere.
