Haier sets global standards
     2010-October-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

HAIER’S two proposals concerning refrigerator safety technology have been approved by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) as international standards at its 2010 General Meeting in Seattle of the United States.

The approval reinforces Haier’s dominance in refrigerator industry in the world.

The only Chinese enterprise attending the meeting, Haier submitted 17 technical proposals and 15 proposals involving energy consumption were also put on a waiting list for examination and approval as international standards.

Haier had four technical proposals approved as international standards at the IEC meeting in Norway last year. This was followed by another 10 proposals listed as international standards.

Haier has had a total of 31 technical proposals accepted as international standards.(Martin Li)
