TEN food products were given the title of “Qingdao Top 10 Brand-name Agricultural Products” on Oct. 29 at Shandong International Agricultural Exhibition Center.

    The 10 brands included Jiaozhou Cabbage, Majiagou Celery, Daze Mountain Grape and Wolin Blueberry.

    Another 30 farm products were awarded the title “Excellent Agricultural Products.” These included cherry tomatoes from Dahuangbu, sweet melon from Malian Village, and taro from Baimiao.

    A total of 132 kinds of vegetables, fruit, tea, edible oil, seafood and poultry entered the competition, held by the city’s agricultural commission, ocean and fishing bureau and farming bureau.

    Selection started in July and the result combined public polls and professional opinion from a jury of agriculturists.
