QD 2nd among Chinese leisure cities
     2010-November-9  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

QINGDAO was listed 2nd among “China’s Top 10 Leisure Cities 2010” and named “The Most Dynamic Leisure City of China,” according to the results of a national survey released Nov. 2. Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, came first.

The result was based on 10 months of data collection and analysis conducted by the leisure and vacation department of the China Tourism Association, the National Leisure Standardization Technical Committee and the People’s Daily Online, as well as other organizations.

The organizers collected data on 27 different criteria from 287 cities in China. All the cities were listed by the People’s Daily Online for four months for a public poll. Over 1 million people participated in the poll.

The top 30 cities on the list were named “China’s Top 10 Leisure Cities 2010,” while the top 10 were named “China’s Best Leisure Cities 2010.”

The other nine winners were Hangzhou, Sanya, Lijiang, Chengdu, Yantai, Huangshan, Guilin, Qinhuangdao and Suzhou. (Jane Lai, Yang Bing)
