THE first reptile exhibition hall on the Chinese mainland opened at the Old Stone Man Garden in Qingdao on Oct. 30.
Visitors will be able to see how reptiles use their teeth, senses, venom and speed to hunt and kill their prey, as well as to evade predators.
The exhibition features a 3-meter-long giant crocodile, a 5-meter-long python, poisonous snakes and turtles.
At the foot of Wushan Mountain in Qingdao stands a 17-meter-high rock resembling an old fisherman. While most of the surrounding rocks have been eroded away over the centuries, the fisherman remains.
The Old Stone Man Garden was built to commemorate a legend related to the old fisherman, featuring a wide variety of Chinese cultural elements. Strolling around the garden, visitors can enjoy romantic sea views, green mountains, bamboo groves and birdsong.
