QINGDAO Hanhe Cable Co. Ltd., listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange recently, became the 21st Qingdao company to be listed.

    The opening price was 39.88 yuan on the first day, closing at 44.2 yuan, a rise of 22.78 percent. The company issued 50 million shares at 36 yuan each, raising about 1.8 billion yuan, which was the most of the four companies that listed the same day.

    The funds will be mainly directed toward producing advanced energy-saving cable and related products, marine cables and building a research center.
