THE three-dimensional animation “Nasirdin Apandi” won the “Golden Dolphin” award at the Xiamen International Animation Festival on Nov. 8.
The animation, produced by the Qingdao-based Mirrorink Animation Studio, is the first domestic three-dimensional digital HD production.
It is a 52-episode series lasting 572 minutes.
The story originated from the folklore of Apundi.
With the background set in 12th-century China, Apundi and his friend Hoja get along with powerful wit.
The Mirrorink Animation Studio is a specialized animation producer with CG industry elites from both home and abroad and is dedicated to high-end three-dimensional animation.
The studio employs about 30 professionals and films they have participated in include “Tarzan and Jane,” “Toy Story,” and “The Lord of the Rings.”
A total of 1,467 animation works from more than 30 countries and regions were on display at the festival.
The “Golden Dolphin” award at Xiamen International Animation Festival is one of the most important awards of the animation industry in China, whose organization involved the government, commercial companies and academies. (Chen Ting, Li Wei)
