     2010-November-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

REPRESENTATIVES of several countries and regions told the International Council of Museums Conference (ICOM) 2010 in Shanghai from Nov. 7 to 13 that they would like to build a long-term relationship with Qingdao Museum, the Qingdao government said.

The most important event for the ICOM mutual sharing and learning with museums of the world, the meeting was themed “museums for social harmony.”

Liu Yuanming, head of Qingdao Museum, explained the museum’s contribution to Chinese society by offering comprehensive public cultural facilities in an innovative way.

Liu’s essay had also been collected by the ICOM’s catalogue.
