CONSTRUCTION on the main section of Hongdao Flyover connecting with Qingdao Bay Bridge finished Nov. 20.

    Hongdao, the first cross-sea flyover in China, now connects Huangdao Island and north Qingdao City. The Hongdao bridge section extends 12 kilometers and the main body of the bridge is 1.3 kilometers long.

    Qingdao Bay Bridge has two flyover sections — Cangkou bridge section and Hongdao bridge section — besides the main bridge.

    Construction of Qingdao Bay Bridge is to be completed by the end of this year.
