QINGDAO is developing wetland tourism in the western part of Chengyang District, where there is a large area of virgin wetland.

    There is already a Dongmaolin leisure club in the area with facilities for catering, fishing and planting. There are also fruit and vegetable gardens and exhibition areas.

    Another wetland courtyard leisure club has been built on an area of about 5,000 square meters, with an artificial calabash lake, bamboo stands and water plants. (Jane Lai)
