林华清 深圳中学高三年级
I still remember the first time I stepped into Shenzhen Middle School. Everything there seemed new to me. Unlike junior middle school, life for freshmen at Shenzhen Middle School was more energetic and free.
There were many activities and many lessons that I had never imagined before. For example, we could join many activity groups and choose PE classes that we preferred. We could also have classes that help us practice our hands-on ability and innovation ability. What we could learn was not limited to classes. My high school was just like a university and a small society.
It was good that we were given the freedom and the resources to do what we wanted to do, and we had to learn to manage ourselves and make good use of our time, freedom and resources. Therefore, I tried my best to adjust myself to the wholly different high school life and took charge of myself. I spent my Senior One training myself and it turned out to be a success. I was more confident and capable.
Senior Two was different from Senior One. I was required to use the skills I learned in Senior One to improve myself in study and set a more reliable plan for the future. Thanks to what I learned in Senior One, I was more at ease facing problems and knew what kind of person I was and what I should do to study more efficiently. I realized that it was very important for a person to know himself well. Things I learned in Senior Two have influenced me until now. By and large, Senior Two was very meaningful for me.
Senior Three was completely different from Senior One and Two. As we all know, the majority of high school students in China have to sit the college entrance examination to qualify for universities. Thus, Senior Three was the most intense of all grades and the only thing students should do is to study day and night.
Without exception, Senior Three students in my school started a very different life. As one of them, I adjusted myself to the new life and focused on study only. I stayed up until midnight and gave up almost all my hobbies. I moved forward step by step and was eager to experience university life. Of course, there were so many difficulties and confusion. Nevertheless, when my efforts paid off, the happiness I felt was beyond words.
This is my three years of school life. I have learned and grown a lot during the process. All the ups and downs I experienced in high school have already become a treasure of mine.
