Top 100 enterprises announced
     2010-December-21  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

HE Qingdao 2010 top 100 enterprises were unveiled Dec. 15 and Haier Group with annual revenue of 124.911 billion yuan, Hisense Group with revenue of 55.984 billion yuan and Liuhe Group with revenue of 40.216 billion yuan in 2009 became the top three companies in the city.

Total revenue of the top 100 companies was about 614.65 billion yuan in 2009, increasing by 13.2 percent over 2008, while total profit in 2009 increased by 168.6 percent to 24.23 billion yuan over 2008 and total expenses on research and development increased by 15.2 percent to 15.67 billion yuan over the previous year, the city’s Association of Enterprisers said.

According to the list, 14 companies had profits of more than 10 billion yuan each in 2010, one more than the number of companies last year.

Haier Group, with revenue of 124.91 billion yuan, total assets of 96.6 billion yuan and profit of 2.93 billion yuan in 2009, was No. 1 in the Qingdao top 100 and No. 47 in China’s top 500 Enterprisers this year.

Liuhe Group with revenue of 40.2 billion yuan was in the top three for the first time. Meanwhile, the lowest revenue was 867 million yuan this year, 2.04 times the entrance money last year.

The total profitability of Qingdao firms increased by 168.6 percent compared with the previous year. The sharp growth was mainly due to preferential policies, such as industrial upgrading and selling automobiles and home appliances in the countryside. Price decreases in raw materials, tax reductions, interest-rate cuts and energy-saving measures in 2009 had also increased profits of these companies.
