THE National Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone has become the country’s top five development areas seven times in a row, according to an evaluation on national-level development areas issued by the Ministry of Commerce recently.
A total of 55 national-level development areas were in the evaluation, which would be judged from eight indices such as infrastructure construction, operational cost, human resource, social responsibility, environmental protection and energy saving, synthesized economic strength, technological creativity, management system, development and efficiency.
Among these, Qingdao ranked sixth in synthesized economic strength, third in infrastructure construction, fourth in human resource, tenth in environmental protection and energy-saving and seventh in technological creativity.
