Andy Lau begins‘Unforgettable’ concert series
     2010-December-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    刘德华出道30年演唱会开锣

Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau launched his “Unforgettable” concert series on Monday at the Hong Kong Coliseum, where thousands of the singer’s fans gathered to celebrate his 30th anniversary in show business.

Lau’s series of concerts, which will continue for 20 consecutive* nights, are one of the most anticipated events of the year.

After the first edition of the series, Lau took time to talk about preparations. “I am not an idol. I am not a singer with real strength. It’s a concert about physical work. I hope you can see that I have done all I can do at this age. It’s an attentive* and intimate* concert.”

To help with Lau’s dancing skills, late pop star Michael Jackson’s choreographers*, Travis Payne and Stacy Walker, were invited to train him and choreograph the opening section of the show.

Japanese fashion icon Yohji Yamamoto, whose label* Lau has been a loyal fan of for decades, is in charge of the costume* design.

During the show on Monday, another Hong Kong pop star Leon Lai was invited to appear as guest performer.(SD-Agencies)
