Two top dance troupes from Ireland, the National Dance Company of Ireland and the Spirit of the Dance Company, will appear at Shenzhen Grand Theater in Luohu District on Jan. 1 and 2 and Huaxia Arts Center in Nanshan District on Jan. 3.
Performed by the National Dance Company of Ireland, the “Rhythm of the Dance” is a breathtaking and spectacular musical production that is a true celebration of Ireland presented through song, dance and storytelling.
Bringing together a wealth of talent from all four corners of Ireland, this richly costumed show marries ancient, traditional Irish entertainment with exhilarating contemporary stage technology. The show unites the spirit of Irish national dances, songs and storytelling with today’s modern influences including beat, jazz and Latin rhythms to create a groundbreaking soundtrack and a stunning dance presentation.
The international smash hit “Spirit of the Dance,” performed by one of Ireland’s top 3 dance troupes, the Spirit the Dance Company, is one of the most successful to come out of Ireland and has been seen by more than 30 million people around the world.
The international tour of the award-winning show has smashed box-office records in 15 countries since it first appeared in 1996. Each year, the explosive performance evolves with new dance pieces with innovative cheoreography highlighting the changing taste of world dance styles.
