THE country’s first production line of deep-UV LED products recently started operating at Qingdao Jason Electrics Co. Ltd.

    Deep-UV LED products, independently developed by the company, have already been approved by authorities and the technology has reached leading international standards.

    Deep-UV LED products made by the company are widely used in disinfection, food processing, medical equipment, military communications, said Zhang Guohua, president and general manager of the company. It was the only deep-UV factory in China.

    Established in 2001, the company has worked on developing a medal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) system, which could be widely used in equipment manufacturing. In recent years, the city has paid about 50 million yuan to support the company’s development and introduce an overseas creative team to help with research.
