I was longing for our traditional festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival, because I like the clear and bright moon, tasty moon cake, and the happy reunions on that night very much.
But unfortunately, on Mid-Autumn Festival night, clouds and rain gave us quite a vague moon! The sky was cloudy and the ground was too wet to walk on, so I was disappointed and unhappy.
But my father was not influenced by the bad weather, and held the family reunion party in the yard as he had done over the past years. About 50 relatives came to the reunion party.
Before long, the yard was bubbling with excitement. People drank beer or tea, talked happily, ate moon cakes or barbecued food, chased one another, lit lanterns, sang and laughed. It was a harmonious and happy scene! I could not help joining in with the excitement.
Although the moon was not clear, we had a happy reunion. Kinship is more important than the moon at the Mid-Autumn Festival.
