A WEB site aiming to provide a platform for health information went on trial Dec. 23. Aimed at becoming the largest health and lifestyle portal in China, www.jk33.cn was set up by Senior Lifestyle News Co. of Qingdao News Group.
The site provides health and medical information, doctor’s services, e-business, and medical industrial information.
There are 47 site channels covering subjects such as health care, medicine, cosmetology, plastic surgery, leisure, entertainment and senior citizens’ lifestyle — supported by professionals in the industry.
Interactive activities are offered by the Web site such as seeing a doctor online, online medicine purchase, online consultations and a chatroom.
The Web site will also set up 51 branches around China.
“The Web site took advantage of experienced staff and a huge database of our newspaper. It will become the most popular Chinese virtual health community,” said the head of the News.
He said the Web site would also develop mobile services which would broadcast health information.
The Web site has the support of health experts such as Hong Zhaoguang, Zhu Zongxiang, and Yang Li, who will communicate with netizens via the site.(Chen Ting, Yu Zhu)
