THE logo of the 2011 Sudirman Cup World Mixed Team Badminton Championship has been unveiled in Qingdao, the host city of the competition.

    Resembling a shuttlecock, the blue-and-green logo reflects Qingdao’s coastal features. The competition is scheduled to be held from May 22 to 29 at Guoxin Stadium and is expected to attract nearly 1,000 athletes from more than 50 countries and regions.

    China, the defending champion, will strive for a second round of four straight championships at the competition.
