A SIMPLE and efficient customs clearance mode piloted by Qingdao Customs was introduced to the 24 customs branches in Shandong Province from Jan. 4.

    Using the new system, customs clearance for exported goods takes less than one minute and clearance time for imported goods would be cut from over 10 minutes to five minutes.

    Qingdao Customs started piloting the simple clearance mode for sea and air freight in 2009.
