QINGDAO has arranged for companies to attend several exhibitions around the world since 2010, helping companies find more export channels and build relationships with new clients.

According to statistics, the city has organized 1,971 companies to attend more than 30 exhibitions around the world, helping them forge deals worth about US$3.65 billion. The number of companies attending the exhibitions and their business volumes had increased by 28.7 percent and 25.9 percent respectively compared with 2009.

The city’s bureau of commerce made detailed exhibition plans according to Qingdao’s market structure, industrial structure and company demands. They led 168 companies to 19 overseas exhibitions, making business volume of US$61.08 million. They also organized 1,803 firms to attend 11 fairs held in China, such as the Canton Fair, helping them make deals worth about US$3.59 billion.
