Irish dance show on Shenzhen stage
     2011-January-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

An Irish song and dance show, “Ragus the Show”, will be performed by FOM Productions from Ireland at Shenzhen Poly Theater in Nanshan District on Friday and Saturday.

The Gaelic word Ragus (pronounced rah-goose) means “urge” or “desire.”

Inspired by the islanders of Inis Mor, Ragus is a lively, fast-moving performance of traditional Irish music, song and dance. Evoking times past, audiences feel the pulse of a rich and vibrant musical heritage and come away with a truly enjoyable and unique cultural experience.

Last year saw Ragus celebrate its 10th year from humble beginnings in Halla Ronan on Inis Mor. Ragus has grown from strength to strength with its touring entourage of up to 30 people in demand on every continent of the world. The last three years alone have seen Ragus perform in Australia, the United States, Japan, South Africa and throughout Europe.
