     2011-January-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE first metro trains made by CSR Qingdao Sifang Co. Ltd. for Singapore recently started the journey to the city-state from Qianwan Port in Qingdao, indicating that metro trains made in China have now reached the highest international standards.

According to the company, the trains exported to Singapore were the most advanced A-type trains. They could carry 2,138 passengers and employed advanced technology and materials.

Singapore has the world’s most developed and efficient public transport system and standards for metro technology were among the highest in the world. Exporting metro trains to Singapore has greatly enhanced the company’s technology and influence on the international urban rail market.(Wang Yuanyuan, Lin Gang)
