‘Qin-Han Heroes’ premier
     2011-January-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A 52-EPISODE animated series, “Qin-Han Heroes,” premiered Jan. 10 in Qingdao. The Qingdao-produced TV series will start airing during prime-time hours on CCTV-Children from Jan. 20.

It was produced by Qingdao Ouya Group, Beijing Glorious Animation Co. and CCTV Animation Co., with contributions from Qingdao Chengyang District Publicity Department.

The series is based on true stories during the late Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.) and early Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-220 A.D.) that featured historical figures such as Liu Bang, Zhang Liang, Xiangyu, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang.

The animation is basically a hand-drawn two-dimensional film produced with the help of 3-D computer technology. Each episode is 25 minutes.

Cartoonist You Sulan from Taiwan designed some of the major characters.

“Qin-Han Heroes” is the first production of Zhongshi Animation City invested by Qingdao Ouya Group. (Chen Ting, Liu Kunfeng)
