梁楚雪 东莞中学松山湖学校高二(4)班 指导老师:蒋坛军
Recently I read a piece of news on the Internet: Yandaojie Middle School in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, has stipulated that the distance between boys and girls in the school must be no less than 0.8 meters.
I couldn’t help laughing — the distance between boys and girls when they line up in the canteen can not satisfy this rule, so how to deal with this?
I can understand the school’s intention to stop puppy love. However, few middle-school puppy lovers are “brave” enough to whisper or hug in public. On the contrary, they generally have a “guilty conscience,” so they deliberately keep their distance in public, especially at school. Hence, this school rule can not stop puppy love.
At the same time, although I don’t support puppy love, I know that blindly inculcating the conceptions of responsibility and duty in middle school students won’t stop puppy love. Teachers talk kindly about these things in class, headmasters seriously advocate these things at meetings, parents and relatives patiently preach these during meals, so students have been annoyed over and over again. Their rebelliousness increases instead, and then there are more puppy lovers.
I think our society should tolerate puppy love, instead of snuffing it. Schools should promote correct sex education to reduce the risk of pregnancy.
