    Taiwanese actress and singer Barbie Hsu, 34, held a lavish* wedding in Sanya, Hainan Province, yesterday after attaining a certificate for her marriage to Chinese millionaire Wang Xiaofei on November 16 last year in Beijing, according to the Chinese media.

    It is reported that the wedding ceremony was held at a luxurious hotel owned by Wang, who is the son of wealthy Chinese businesswoman Zhang Lan.

    This six-star resort’s banquet hall reportedly cost more than US$17,000 to rent for a day.

    The ceremony was reported to cost at least 6 million yuan with the participation of more than 200 relatives and friends, including many heavyweights* from the world of acting, singing and television.

    Known mainly for her role in “Meteor Garden,” Hsu is popular in Taiwan and on the Chinese mainland.(SD-Agencies)
