An embarrassing experience
     2011-March-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Chen Sihan Class 3, Grade 7, Second Foreign Languages School of Nanshn Shenzhen Teacher: Mark Xing

Yesterday an interesting thing happened that caused even my mother to think me stupid.

She and I were walking down the street. After walking for about half an hour I felt a bit tired, so we went into a shop and had a rest.

I sat down and closed my eyes for a few minutes. When I opened my eyes, a very beautiful T-shirt caught my attention. I thought the style was particularly unique. I walked over to the shirt for a closer look.

I liked the shirt very much. So I shouted to my mum: “Have a look, Mum! There is a very beautiful shirt. I want to buy it. OK?” At this point, a woman who I didn’t know started looking at me strangely.

Then a shop assistant came to me and said: “Can I help you?”

“How much is this shirt?” I pointed to that shirt. “Can I try it on?” I asked.

But suddenly she laughed loudly and said: “This is a man’s store.”

I covered my face and ran out of the shop. My mother came up to me and asked why. When she knew the reason, she said I was stupid.

What an embarrassing experience! But still, an interesting memory.
