Cathy Tsui gives birth to baby boy
     2011-June-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FORMER Hong Kong model and actress Cathy Tsui gave birth to a baby boy last week according to a statement released Tuesday by her and her wealthy husband, Martin Lee Ka-shing, younger son of Hong Kong tycoon Lee Shau-kee.

The couple shared a picture with the public of their newborn sound asleep.

According to the statement, the baby boy weighed in at 6 pounds (2.72 kilograms) and both mother and baby are in a healthy condition. All family members are very excited about the new arrival.

The arrival of her son makes 29-year-old Tsui a mother of three, as she also has two daughters aged 2 and 4.

Tsui has reportedly gained a large amount of weight during her third pregnancy. The media have had their eyes on Tsui since early Tuesday morning, speculating Tsui’s immediate delivery at any moment this week.

The birth of Lee Shau-kee’s fourth grandson is heaven-sent for the tycoon’s family — and his Henderson Land staff as well. About 1,500 employees will get HK$10,000 (US$1,284) each, to be deposited in their bank accounts this month.

The tycoon got a three-grandson bonanza from elder son Peter Lee Ka-kit, a bachelor, last July after a United States-based surrogate mother delivered as promised. Henderson staff got a windfall then of HK$30,000 each.
