Cheung, Tse break silence
Hong Kong celebrity couple Cecilia Cheung and Nicholas Tse have confirmed that they will be splitting up, ending weeks of speculation on the status of their five-year marriage.
The actors broke their silence separately. Tse sent out a statement on Friday afternoon hinting at a separation or divorce. He said that he had decided to "proceed with family matters" after careful consideration.
Tse's statement came hours after the publication of Cheung's explosive interview with Oriental Daily, which she accused him of leaking false information to the public to depict a negative image of her as a gold-digger and troublemaker.
Bollywood awards
"Dabangg," a tale about a corrupt police officer, dominated the 12th International Indian Film Academy awards, snagging nine prizes including best picture at the star-studded event in Toronto.
"My Name is Khan" also scooped up several top honors. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took the prize for leading male role for the film, about the treatment of Muslims in a world of heightened suspicions following the September 11 attacks.
Craig, Weisz marry quietly
Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, who play husband and wife in an upcoming film, have brought their roles in life.
Robin Baun of Slate PR, which represents Craig, said on Saturday that the actor and Weisz have married. The British actors had been quietly dating.
Craig is the latest James Bond and will star in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Weisz won an Academy Award for "The Constant Gardener" and starred in "The Mummy."
Fans mourn Jackson
Michael Jackson fans paid their respects on Saturday to the late King of Pop on the second anniversary of his shock death, as his famous "Thriller" video jacket went under the hammer in Los Angeles.
Fans were allowed to place flowers by the singer's mausoleum at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park just outside Los Angeles.
