Tsai Chin gives a nostalgic concert
     2011-August-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Tsai Chin, a well-known folk singer from Taiwan, will give a concert of nostalgic songs at the Stadium of Shenzhen Bay Sports Center on Sept. 10.

Over the past three decades, Tsai’s songs have brought lots of happiness to her fans throughout China as well as overseas Chinese communities with their characteristic purity, elegance and depth. Her songs have often been compared by critics and fans to a glass of fine wine which improves with age. Her distinguished and magnetic mezzo-soprano has made a deep impression on fans.

Tsai made her debut appearance as a folk singer in the 1970s and released her first special album “Leave the Boundary” in 1979. In the following 30 years, she has released more than 50 albums and won numerous prizes and awards. Her representative works include “As Gentle As a Breeze,” “Your Eyes,” “The Last Night,” “New Love,” “Read You” and “The Forgotten Time.”

Tsai has extensively toured cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shenzhen as well as Las Vegas, New York, Toronto and Singapore, among others.
