South Korean athlete wins last gold medal

Park Yong-hyun of South Korea beat Guilherme Felix of Brazil to win the men’s 87kg division in taekwondo at the Universiade in Shenzhen yesterday. It was the last gold medal claimed at the 26th Summer Universiade. On the last day of competition, five gold medals were awarded — one in water polo and four in taekwondo.

1. Park Yong-hyun (R) of South Korea competes with Guilherme Felix of Brazil during men’s 87kg division in taekwondo in Shenzhen yesterday. Park won the gold medal.

2.Hatice Kubra Yangin (L) of Turkey duels with Laura Urriola Ateca of Spain during women’s 53kg division in taekwondo yesterday. Yangin won the gold.

3. Umut Bildik (L) of Turkey competes with Stevens Barclais of France during men’s 63kg division in taekwondo yesterday. Bildik won the title.

4. Chuang Chiachia (L) of Chinese Taipei competes with Park Min-yeon of South Korea during women’s 73kg division in taekwondo yesterday.

5. Serbian players celebrate after defeating Russia 11-8 in the men’s water polo final yesterday.
