The case and buckle are made out of naturally biodegradable corn resin. The case is so light that you won't even feel that it is there. The dial is made of sustainable bamboo, and you can be sure that no two watches will be the same. All Sprout watches have mineral crystal lenses that are made from sand, and technically speaking, is fully recyclable as well. As for the straps, it is made of organic cotton. Sprout uses mercury free batteries in their timepieces.

Prices for the ordinary models range from US$30 to US$75.

iHome iA17 alarm clock radio

The iA17 has a color-changing ability, and the shifting of the colors of the rainbow can set the mood for sleep. It is possible to make the device pulse very quickly, or very slow at the touch of a button. It even has a "wake to color" feature which displays an array of soothing but energizing lights.

You can also program the device to wake to music on the iPod/iPhone or an FM radio.

In addition to all these features, the iA17 has some free apps associated with it. It costs US$99.99.

Chick-a-Dee smoke detector

Instead of the normal boring smoke detector, Chick-a-Dee resembles a bird on a twig. It will give out an 85db alarm signal upon detection of some smoke in the room. There is a 1.5-year battery life with each device, and a test button will help you make sure everything is in fine working operation. Should the battery die off, it will give an alarm signal so that you can change it.
